Ok, so now I'm not so much impressed...
I have a friend who has seriously pissed me off big time. So much so, I don't think I particulary want to call her my friend anymore. Does that make me sound like a bitch?
She split with her bloke. I was there for her. She shouted, screamed & cried for weeks about it. I was there for her. She told me he had a new beau. I was there for her.
Then...
She started blowing me off when I would arrange to see her. Like, 2 days before she would text & cancel with some sort of excuse, 3 times in all. I then found out that she had basically accused me of being a thief when I helped her pack her stuff to leave him as she tried to take so say some of his belongings. She blamed me for taking it. I said nothing, I didn't want to upset someone so fragile as she was then, but I was crushed inside. I then noticed her car outside his house so I asked her if they had reconciled. That's when she told me he had a new girlfriend & it would never happen & that he was borrowing the car. I believed her because I had no reason not to.
Then...
I went to a friends wedding last weekend & on my return I was shown, quite innocently, photos of my friend & her supposed ex together, and I mean together. Now, I had been invited to the party that these photos were taken at but I couldn't go as I was at a wedding. So, I texted her asking if it was all back on & guess what, I have been ignored.
Now, her car has been outside his house for a week or so now, which prompts me to believe she is back, yet she hasn't said a word to me. She has not contacted me or attempted to see me.
It hurts.
I'm assuming she has cut me off. Possibly because I was so angry at the accusation of theft I ranted at her supposed ex boyfriend & called her a few choice things. I assume he's told her. But did I not have a right to be mad? I should have confronted her maybe, but I didn't, live with it.
She also accused a mutual friend of sleeping with the supposed ex which she wasn't. She was angry & also ranted about it. She didn't confront her either, maybe she should have. Did our mutual friend not have a right to be mad?
After this post, I'm not going to care any longer. I've done my bit and she's thrown years of friendship out of the window because she had a bad break up & a good get back together. Basically, all the times I've stood by her has been thrown back in my face because I got mad with her. Well, fine.
I will survive.

Urgh! Another toxic friend! And I don't mean you!
I truly believe that you are too good for this girl. It sounds like you tried your best, but she just WANTED to find an excuse not to be your friend anymore. And she found one. As lame as it was...or rather, she CREATED one.
You're better off without her, but I know how bad it still hurts. Just think of me giving you a virtual hug and patting you on the back :)
